Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya invites JNVST Application Form from students who are seeking admission in Class VI for the session of 2016-17. Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria and want to take admission in JNV must apply for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance Exam 2016 on or before the last date that is 30th September 2015. Admissions in JNVs are made through the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) at Class VI.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test

Eligibility Criteria:

Students must be studying in Class V in any Government or Government-Aided or other recognized school in the same district where he/she is looking for admission in the just previous academic session for which Selection Test is conducted.

Actual admission in Class VI in the session is, however, subject to the condition of having passed Class V before admission.

A candidate in quest of admission must be between the age group of 9 years to 13 years on 1st May of the year of admission for which the Selection Test is conducted.

No candidate is eligible to appear in the selection test second time, under any circumstances.

These above represented eligibility conditions applies to all categories of candidates including those who belong to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

Admission Procedure

Admission of students will be based on marks scored in the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test followed by document verification.

A separate Answer sheet will be provided to candidates so that they can indicate their answers at an appropriate place on the answer sheet itself. The Answer sheet will be of intelligence Character Recognition (ICR)/Optical Character Recognition (OCR) Sheet. Only Blue/Black Ball Point Pen is to be used to write on the answer sheet. Use of pencil is strictly prohibited.

The main purpose of this test is to assess reading comprehension of the candidates. The test consists of three passages. Each passage is followed by 5 questions. Candidates shall read each passage carefully and answer the questions that follow. In addition, there will be 10 questions to test grammar and writing skills of candidates.

How to Apply

Step1
Students who fulfill the eligibility criteria may obtain application form through either of the mode as mention above.
Step2
Fill Application Form with all appropriate details and affix recent passport size photograph on it.
Step3
It shall be signed by the Head of the recognized school/Special Education Scheme (Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan) where the child is studying in Class-V,
