Desirable: Certificate of Competency as “Engine Driver of fishing vessel issued by Marine Mercantile Department.

Age Criteria:
Lower age limit of the applying candidate must be 18 years and must attain the maximum age of 25 years as on closing dates of receipt of application.
Salary Details:
Candidates who will be selected for any of the above said post will get an appropriate amount of salary that is Rs.5200-20200/-with suitable grade pay per month as per post.
Mode of Selection:
- Applications received shall be scrutinized by the selection committee and candidates who fulfill the conditions stipulated above will be called for a Written Exam relating to the post.
- Candidates qualified in the written examination will be called for interview and/or Skill Test that will be conducted only in Chennai and candidates will have to make their own arrangements for attending the examination.

- Candidates who wish to apply for CBEC Job are firstly required to visit the official website of Chennai Custom House i.e. www.chennaicustoms.gov.in.
- Now hit on “Recruitment of launch staffin the Marine Wing of Chennai customs.” link from running section of latest news on the home page.
- This will open the official notification, read it and download the application format given below the advertisement.
- Filled in application form in the given format and duly signed application along with left hand thumb impression and pasted with a self attested photograph along with relevant self attested photo copies (original copies of certificates should not be enclosed along with application form) of certificates of educational qualifications, proof of age category etc. and four unsigned passport size photographs and two self addressed unstamped envelopes of 25 X 12 cms, are to be sent by post to the address as given below.
- Envelope containing the application must be super scribed in bold letters as application for marine wing posts and also indicates the Post applied for and Category at the left side corner of the envelope.
- Separate application forms for each post complete in all respects along with enclosures must reach the below given postal address by post on or before the last date as mentioned below.
- Any application received on or after the due date shall be summarily rejected.
- Applications received after the closing date or incomplete in any respect shall be summarily rejected and no communication in respect of the rejected application forms shall be entertained.
