Indian Administrative Service exam is offered by the
government of India, Union Public Service Commission will conduct the IAS exam
every year or 6 months. It is a great job for those candidates who want to work
for Indian government.
Its format is different from other competition exams format.
There is an interview section also for those candidates who are selected in the
written examination. It’s one of the toughest exams that probably require more
than one attempt to achieve success.

Pattern Syllabus:
Preliminary Paper:
Preliminary Paper is also divided into two parts. General
Studies Paper I and II
Paper I topics:
Current events of national and international importance.
History of India and Indian National Movement.
Economic and Social Development Sustainable Development,
Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics,Social Sector initiatives, etc.
Indian and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic
Geography of India and the World.
Indian Polity and Governance - Constitution, Political
System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.
General issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and
Climate Change - that do not require subject specialization. General Science.
Paper II topics:
Comprehension
Logical reasoning and analytical ability
Decision-making and problem-solving
Interpersonal skills including communication skills;
Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of
magnitude, etc.) (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables,
data sufficiency etc. - Class X level)
General mental ability
English Language Comprehension skills (Class X level).
