Civil Services Eligibility Criteria:
Nationality:
1. For Indian Administrative Service and the Indian
Police Service, applicants should be Indian resident.
2. For other civil services candidates must be:
A citizen of India, or
A subject of Nepal, or
A subject of Bhutan, or
A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st
January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
A person of Indian origin (PIO) who has migrated from
Srilanka, East African countries of Kenya, Pakistan, Burma, Uganda, the United
Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi, Zaire and Vietnam with the
intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b),
(c), (d) and (e) shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility
has been issued by the Government of India.
Age
Limit:
Age of aspirants should not be less than 21 years and
more than 32 years on the 1st of August, 2016. i.e. candidates must have been
born not earlier than 2nd August, 1984 and not later than 1st August, 1995.
Upper age limit is relaxed for reserved category such
as Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe for 5 year, for Other Backward Classes
up to 3 years and 5 years for domiciled in the State of Jammu and Kashmir
during the period from the 1st January, 1980 to the 31st day of December, 1989
up to 5 years.
Educational
Qualifications:
Aspirants should possess degree in any discipline from
concern Universities recognized by an Act of the Central or State Legislature
in India or other educational institutions.
Candidates who have appeared examination n but have not
been informed of the results are eligible to apply.
Applicants who are having professional and technical
qualifications that are recognized by the Government as equivalent to
professional and technical degree are also eligible to apply.
Every candidate can only go for six attempts only.
Provided that, this restriction will not applicable for SC and ST candidates
who are otherwise eligible.

For Female/ SC/ ST/ PH Candidates: No Fee
For other category candidates: Rs. 100/-
Fee can be paid by depositing money in any Branch of
SBI by Cash, or by using net banking/ Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit Card.

Process:
Selection will be done as per their performance in UPSC
Civil Services Preliminary Exam, UPSC Civil Services Main Exam and Interview.

questions. Both papers will contain 200 marks and total marks are 400. Question
Papers (Test Booklets) are set in English as well as in Hindi.

to fill UPSC Civil Services Application Form:
Candidates may go to the Official site of Union Public
Service Commission that is www.upsconline.nic.in.
Now choose link ‘Online Application for Various
Examinations of UPSC’.
Select link for “Part I Registration” and fill
completed details such as name, date of birth, residential address and other
details and upload scanned photograph in JPG format.
Now pay your fee of requisite amount through proper
channel as given above.
Submit the application fee and then for a second time
return to the official site for part two registrations.
Complete the Part-II registration by filling all
details very carefully.
At last, take a print out of your application form for
future use.
